The Historic Hills Scenic Byway is 117 miles long and takes travelers through Wapello, Appanoose, Davis, Van Buren, and Lee counties. Pathfinders’ Byway Coordinator, Christina Hedström, meets regularly with local stakeholder groups to develop the visitor experience along the Byway. The Byway is part of a statewide Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT)  coalition of designated Byways.

You’ll know you’re on the byway when you spot attractive wayfinding signs like the one pictured to the right.
